For my graduation project at the Academy of Film and Television Babelsberg for animation, I produced VFX for “Robots”, which took 15 month. As Initiator of the project I was responsible for the idea and conception of the short and wrote the script together with Director Philipp Glauner. As visual effects art Director and Lead, I designed and created full-CG characters and developed and supervised the whole Motion Capture workflow and shooting to bring the digital androids to life. Integrated in lifeaction footage exclusively filmed in 3D (stereoscopic) for the project, the illusion of believable humanlike robots was created. My work on “Robots” included modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, matchmoving, rendering and basically every single aspect of visual effects creation. “Robots” will be released in 2012.

POSITION: Modelling Artist & Texture Painter

As part of the great team of artists at Uncharted Territory, I worked as modelling and texture artist on Roland Emmerichs “Anonymous” in 2010 produced by Sony Pictures. I created various assets for the visual effects department including digital props and characters placed in the historical setting of London in the 16th- and 17th Century. As part of the international in-house crew of 28 Artist at Uncharted Territory, we produced about 300 extensive effect shots and full CG exterior establishing views of the Elizabethan city of London. On final production stage I also worked on various animations for digital environment assets, like full CG trees and a wide range of CG animals. Beside of texture work for digital doubles and crowd simulations, I modelled and animated various digital characters, including basic rigging work. “Anonymous” was released worldwide in November 2011.

POSITION: Visual Effects Lead Shahada was the first feature film of director Burhan Qurbani and was officially selected for the 2010 Berlin International Film Festival. Beside of a few simple effects, a sequence featuring digital hailstorm was created by me, working directly with the director. Multiple Simulations of particles were created to achieve the Visual Effect of believable hailstones falling and covering the ground of a crossroad in Berlin. POSITION: Concept Design Lead & VFX Set Supervisor

Working directly with director Philipp Glauner I was responsible for the character design and Concept Art creation of the movie. As head of the Art Department I supervised the production Design-, makeup- and costume department to keep the overall look consistent. Additionally supervising on set for visual effect work, I also created digital assets for post-production. “Yago Cityboy” is still in production process as independent project with international support of individual artists from around the world and will be released in 2012.
